We are advertising a funded PhD studying the evolution of eyes in spiders, using geometric morphometrics, phylogenetic methods and comparative morphology.

Our research

Why and how do animals evolve to have more than two eyes? How do they use information from multiple sources simultaneously? These are some of the key questions we’re working to answer, using a range of animal systems.
